The Venus Teeth Whitening system is a professional whitening system used by many dentists around the United States. It offers both in-house and at-home teeth whitening treatment options.
Types of Venus Teeth Whitening Treatments
In-House Treatment
Venus White Max is an in-house whitening treatment that is applied by your dental professional. This system utilizes a 38% hydrogen peroxide formula that works in as little as 15 minutes.
This treatment is stored in a syringe that your dentist will evenly apply to your teeth. Venus White Max is able to lighten teeth up to ten shades whiter in one application.
At-Home Treatment
Venus White Pro is an at-home whitening kit that uses custom trays during treatment. Dr. Ron Miller at Miller’s Family Dentistry will create these custom trays for you. Once the trays are created, you are able to use the whitening gel included in the kit for your at-home treatment. Our at-home formula contains potassium nitrate to help ensure your comfort as you whiten your teeth at home.
The whitening gel is available in concentrations of 16%, 22%, and 35%. Depending on your desired level of whiteness, we will help you determine which concentration is best suited for you.
- The 16% concentration option is typically recommended for use overnight and is suitable for patients with sensitive teeth.
- The 22% concentration option is typically worn for 1 hour once or twice daily.
- The 35% concentration option can be worn daily for up to 30 minutes, or 15 minutes twice daily. This option is best suited for patients that do not have sensitive teeth.
What is the Venus Teeth Whitening Process?
First, a special gel, also known as a gingival barrier, is applied to the gums to protect your gums from any sensitivity during the treatment.
During the treatment time, the peroxide molecules attach to the surface of your teeth which will dissolve and lift deep stains.
Once your teeth are dry, the gingival barrier gel will be removed from your gums.
We will then apply the Venus White whitening gel to your teeth.
After 15 minutes, your teeth will be rinsed and dried.
Depending on the severity of the stains, this process can be completed up to 4 times, which totals a treatment time of approximately 60 minutes.
For the most effective results and for continuous treatment while you’re at home, we may recommend Venus White Max at-home system paired with custom whitening trays.
