Research has shown that almost everybody has a 95% chance of experiencing some tooth decay. When tooth decay does occur, it is highly important to remove the decay, clean the tooth and repair the tooth with some type of restoration. Additionally, lost or missing teeth need to be replaced to protect your overall oral health.

Preventive Dentistry
The foundation for a beautiful smile is a set of beautiful, healthy gums. This is why your dental exams and cleanings are so important. Regular visits to our office will ensure that your teeth and gums will remain strong and healthy, enabling you to keep your beautiful smile for a lifetime. We use state of the art Digital Radiography ( 50% less exposure) while giving us more information to catch problem areas sooner.

Digital Radiography
With this exciting new technology, in stead of a trip to the developing tank, the dentist and patient can watch the image pop up on a computer screen seconds after the X-ray is taken. The images are a higher resolution than film images and are stored in the computers memory, from which they can easily be retrieved, combined, and manipulated to supply mare information. The chemical waste associated with film processing will be eliminated. Most significantly, patients are only exposed to half the X-ray dosage typically delivered.

Restorative Dentistry
There are times when we'll need to repair your teeth. Perhaps your old, damaged fillings need replacing, or a broken tooth might need a crown. Bridges or implants can fill the gaps caused by missing teeth. Whatever restorative treatment is chosen, our staff will provide gentle, caring treatment, while returning your mouth to its optimum health.

Intra-oral Camera
The intra-oral camera is a wonderful tool that allows us to take a very close look at your teeth. Through a miniaturized camera, we can display things related to your mouth a 25X magnification on the overhead TV- so you can see what we see!

Gum Disease
Statistics show 80% of all adults over 35 years of age will have some form of gum disease. Left untreated, this condition can lead to or be associated with serious diseases and conditions such as diabetes, strokes, urinary tract problems, heart disease, respiratory ailments, low birth weight babies and even premature babies. Additionally, proper restorative care of teeth cannot be performed on diseased gums. Think of your gums as the foundation to a building; you can’t build a house on a foundation that’s rotten or damaged!

We offer in-office diagnostic and treatment services for gum disease. Our procedures are non-invasive and non-surgical. If you require additional care, we can provide you with an excellent referral.

One of the most important aspects to periodontal (gum) treatment is the follow up care; without proper hygiene and attention, your gums can experience a relapse in the disease! Between the attentive care of our dental hygienist and your home care, our goal is to keep your gums healthy and free of disease.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning is a thorough and gentle way of removing tartar and plaque above and below the gum line. There is little need for the scraping and tugging that many patients have experienced with hand instruments are used. This mechanical device vibrates a small water-cooled metal tip that gently removes the unwanted deposits that build up on your teeth. This method is faster, so more can be accomplished in an appointment. Hand instruments are a good follow-up to this treatment, but are not longer needed to accomplish the major process of removing unwanted deposits

Dr. Miller is a family dentist, which means the entire family can have one convenient location for all dental needs. Dr. Miller is committed to providing positive dental experiences. Dr. Miller will manage and coordinate the necessary treatment options that are in the best interest of your child. In some cases, children who require restorative treatment and are apprehensive, frightened or unable to cooperate will be referred to a pedodontist (Children’s Specialist). Once all restorative treatment is completed by the pedodontist your child returns to our office for bi-annual check-ups and cleanings with fluoride treatment, this will allow Dr. Miller to monitor and evaluate your child’s’ growth and development.
